Our Chapter
We are the Chelle's Angels Chapter of The Women In The Wind International Organization. We are located in
Southeastern Ohio and joined WITW in March 2007. Our goals are basic but important:
1) To unite women motorcyclists with friends of common interest.
2) To promote a positive image to the public of women on motorcycles.
3) To help educate our members on motorcycle safety and maintenance.
4) To have fun!!!
So if you enjoy the camaraderie, encouragement and support of women riders, we welcome you to join us!!

History of Our Club
Becky Brown has been riding since the 70's, and her story is similar to the stories of many women. "We would ride on the
back with boyfriends or husbands, or some of us were tomboys and rode dirt bikes, but once we got the bug, it was a matter
of knowing how to find a bike that fit us and learn the rules of the road."
In 1979, Becky Brown placed an ad in her local newspaper. Soon after, eleven women took their first ride as a club through
the scenic byways of the Maumee River. Since those first women in Toledo chose a name, Women in the Wind has expanded to more
than 1000 members and spanned the globe across the U.S. and into Great Britain, Canada, and Australia. The organization now
sports over 60 chapters, and while sometimes the chapter locations and member faces change, Women in the Wind keeps its spirit
to promote a positive image of women motorcyclists.
She Lives to Ride is a PBS documentary that features Becky Brown with some other famous women motorcyclists such as Dot
Robinson (founder of Motor Maids). It was film director Alice Stone's debut film in 1994.

Our Chapter Officers
Michelle 'Chelle' S., President, organized this chapter of WITW in March of 2007.
As a new rider, she was anxious to have a group close to home to ride with. She rides Roxee a Harley-Davidson Road
King Classic (in black because black is "slimming" and she loses at least 20lbs just sitting on her!!).
Johanna B. is our V. President. She rides Rusty, a 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit.
Ruth S. serves as our secretary. She rides a 1999 Electra Glide Classic with an awesome paint job!
Cathy D. is our Treasurer. You can find her on a 2000 Sportster that her hubby bought for her!
Phyllis G. is our Safety Officer. She rides a Honda Shadow Aero in black and orange.
